Things to see and do

During your stay with us you can choose from the many things to see and do in and around the vineyards of Hunter Valley Wine Country.

Take a hot air balloon ride over the Hunter vineyards at dawn or a scenic flght from Cessnock Airport.

Not up to an early morning start? Then add a little more excitement to your day with a helicopter scenic tour or package. Slattery Helicopter Charter will pick you up from Bimbadeen, give you an aerial tour, deposit you at a vineyard or restuarant of your choice for a wine tasting or lunch, then collect you and drop you back to us. The cost is very reasonable and the adventure is not totally dependent on the weather! A very stylish way to impress.

Enjoy the local countryside by taking a stroll along the Great North Walk, part of which forms our rear boundary. Pack a picnic and go for a hike; or maybe a round of golf is more your style, try Cypress Lakes or The Oaks.

Organised wine tours are 'educational' and a great way to make new friends. There are several companies that will pick you up and deliver you back to Bimbadeen Estate. We suggest your try Cheers.

And of course, Hunter Valley Wine Country abounds with special events through the year ranging from open air concerts, jazz and blues festivals to gastranomical events such as the Lovedale Long Lunch. Accomodation for such events is always at a premium and you are advised to book early.

Or, you can simply veg out, enjoy the view while relaxing by the pool or indulging yourself with a bottle of our Sparkling Shiraz, a box a chockies and a soothing spa bath. We provide complimentary toiletries supplied by Laguna Lavender.
